A practical answer for opened ground
When excavation, construction or land preparation leaves bare soil, establishing cover helps improve presentation and manage issues such as dust and erosion. Hydroseeding is suited to everything from residential lawns to larger commercial landscaping and revegetation areas.
Residential lawns
A cost-conscious way to establish a lawn across prepared areas.
Commercial sites
Efficient application for developers, builders, landscapers and managed properties.
Erosion control
Seed and mulch options for sloped, disturbed or exposed ground.
Revegetation
Seed blends selected around the use, conditions and project requirements.
What we assess
Every job is quoted individually. We consider the area, ground condition, slope, site access, spraying distance, water availability, preparation, specified seed or mulch requirements, labour and materials.
Ground preparation matters
Hydroseeding performs best on properly prepared soil. The area generally needs to be cleared of weeds and debris, shaped to the required levels, loosened rather than heavily compacted, and ready to receive seed. Drainage, topsoil condition and irrigation should be addressed before application.

Aftercare is part of the result
Consistent watering during the first 4–6 weeks is important. Your exact schedule will depend on the seed blend, weather and soil. We provide project-specific guidance so you understand what is needed after application.
Common hydroseeding questions
How long does it take to establish?
Germination and establishment timing varies by seed, soil, weather and watering. Some seed may emerge within days while other species take longer; developing useful, resilient cover takes weeks rather than one fixed number of days.
Will hydroseeding work on a slope?
Hydroseeding can be suitable for sloping ground, but slope ratio, runoff, soil, access and the required erosion-control performance need to be assessed. Steeper or higher-risk sites may need a specific mulch, treatment or engineered specification.
What preparation is needed?
Most sites need weeds and debris removed, finished levels and drainage completed, suitable topsoil, and a lightly loosened final surface. We confirm requirements for your site before work starts.
How much watering is required?
Newly applied seed generally needs frequent, gentle watering to keep the surface moist without causing runoff. The first 4–6 weeks are important, and your project instructions should always take priority over general guidance.
